The ceremonial foundation stone for the Coffee Plaza was laid, in the presence of Hamburg's First Mayor, Ole von Beust, and numerous senior representatives from industry and politics. The city of Hamburg is setting new standards in developing a whole new district – at least in Europe. On an area of 157 hectares, a lively new city center space is being created to accommodate a mix of office and residential uses, retail, restaurants and bars as well as cultural and leisure facilities.
